Mercedes-Benz - Vision Veil | Bacherlor Thesis Developed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, the Vision Veil represents a new vehicle class born from the ambition to emotionalize the traditional van package. This Bachelor Thesis explores the untapped potential of spacious architecture, redefining the luxury travel experience through the lens of modern, sculptural design. The exterior aesthetic is deeply influenced by the sublime and generous volumes of Anish Kapoor’s sculptures. Its commanding gesture is defined by a dramatic silhouette that pulls a generous overhang behind it like a long veil, culminating in a spectacular rear deck. By merging concave and convex surfaces, the body creates a captivating interplay of mirror reflections, making a conscious statement of puristic simplicity. Entering the vehicle is an orchestrated ceremony: the front slides upward, opening like a portal to invite the traveler to linger. Within this sanctuary, filigree illuminated threads act as precise light graphics, providing a technical counterpoint to the organic form. The interior is thoughtfully divided into two atmospheres: a sight-protected front lounge for intimate privacy and a breathtaking Landaulet area in the rear, offering an unobstructed panoramic view of the world beyond.
